Description:
In 1967 Chevrolet called cars like ours THE FAMILY CAMARO, because of the
bench seat. This car is 396, 325hp, turbo 400 on the column, bench seat,
12 bolt with 1 traction bar. The car was bought brand new at Larry Barnes
Chevrolet in Boise, Idaho. The gentlemen that ordered this car wanted the
396 for it's power to pull his small fishing boat and the turbo 400 for
his wife since she couldn't drive a 4-speed. He also wanted the bench seat
for the room since they had a couple of kids. We have owned the car for
about 17 years. This car is all original!!! Ermine white with gold deluxe
interior. The motor, transmission, rear end, carburetor, fan, dist, alternator, 5
wheels, and 4 original full hub caps, the list goes on. They only built
1453 turbo 400 cars in 67, they also only built 427 cars with a 2:73 posi
12-bolt, and only 9 deluxe interior cars with 3 seat belts in the rear. In
mid year 67 GM ordered all dealerships to cut, pull, and take out any car
that came in with 3 seat belts, because the government had not allowed
them to have 3 seat belts with a 2 point hold down system. Our car had
them knifed out! I have the protecto plate, documents and signed off
paperwork from when the original owner purchased and took delivery of the
vehicle when it was brand new. I have tire receipts and battery receipts
and other paperwork to document the mileage. I have talked to Reggie
Jackson, Jerry McNeish and others from coast to coast and no one has
ever heard of or seen a car quite like this. I have tons of sale brochures
and literature on this car. This car is 396, 325hp, turbo 400 on the
column, bench seat, 12 bolt with 1 traction bar. The thing I tell
everyone is (you have seen the Yenkos and the Copos and the z-28s, but
have you seen the FAMILY CAMARO?) We think Silver's is the auction for this
car! You can be the only auction service to ever offer a Camaro quite like
this. This car is about 2 weeks away from its frame off complete stock
restoration. The car is more stunning in person.
