Description:
The 1971 Boss 351 is reputed to be one of the fastest production cars Ford ever built. I’d call this one a Barn Find. It’s been stored for over 22 years. With just 2 previous owners and 49,000 actual miles, this car is the real deal. It still retains its original body panels, paint, interior, and drive train. The paint and interior are exceptional. It still rides on the same bias ply Firestone Wide Ovals it did many years ago. The numbers matching engine still has the original, ultra rare, ‘Boss Only’, Autolite 4300-D (D1ZF-ZA) carburetor and Autolite Distributor (D1ZZ-12127-DA).The engine, transmission and differential have recently been rebuilt. Documentation includes 3 Build Sheets, a Marti Report, the original Eminger invoice, owner history, photos and receipts for the recent work done. I imagine this car is pretty much the same car today that it was in early 1971, when the original owner first drove it off the dealer’s lot.
