Description:
Total restoration completed by "Street Rods By Dowdy" of Dolan Springs Arizona . Known as "OPERATION 6" , this Chevy wagon did a two year tour of duty to help raise monies for homeless veterans in Arizona . "Built by veterans for veterans" , this wagon toured the western states at celebrity events with the celebrities signing pictures and posters to raise money for the veterans , it is signed by Trace Adkins on the dash and includes numerous signed posters by such legends as Willie Nelson , The O'Jays , Vince Gill , Leann Rimes , Pat Benatar , Neil Sedaka just to name a few .
The car itself is powered by a fresh 350 engine with a turbo 350 transmission , has new Coker wide whites on new chrome smoothie rims , complete new tweed interior , Dakota Digital VHX analog/digital gauge system , new glass and custom wood work in the rear plus the complete body and frame restoration . There are about 40 miles on this car since completion .
After it completed it's tour , the Jerry Ambrose Veteran's Council of Arizona decided to sell the car for a considerable amount (they were asking $49,500.00 for it) with all proceeds going to the veterans . I purchased the car in Arizona from them and brought it here to Montana . I wish I could continue with it's great cause but that is not possible for me financially . Truly a "ONE OFF" creation , quality throughout , just looking for the right home . The wagon itself without the history is worth what I am asking for it , Dowdy's stated over 5,000 man hours went into this project .
