Description:
THIS BEAUTIFUL SERIES 3100, ½ TON, 4X2, CUSTOM TRUCK HAS UNDER GONE MAJOR PROFESSIONAL FABRICATION, TO INCLUDE BODY, POWER TRAIN, FRAME, SUSPENSION, INTERIOR, AND ELECTRONICS. THE EXTENSIVE FABRICATION, BODY AND PAINT WORK, REQUIRED OVER 400 HOURS TO COMPLETE. THIS TRUCK IS A MULTIPLE SHOW WINNER AND HAS BEEN DRIVEN LESS THAN 200 MILES SINCE ITS COMPLETION 5 YEARS AGO.
THE BODY STARTED AS A STEEL BODY BIG WINDOW DELUX PICKUP. THE DOORS HAVE BEEN SHAVED WITH POWER LOCKS AND POPPERS ADDED. THE FIREWALL WAS SMOOTHED AND ALTERED TO ACCOMMODATE THE 4L80E TRANS. THE WING WINDOW WERE DELETED AND LATE MODEL TINTED POWER UNITS WERE ADDED. THE DASH WAS COMPLETELY SHAVED WITH A BILLET DASH ADDED COMPLETE WITH AUTOMETER GAUGES. THE FRONT BUMPER WAS SHAVED AND FLOATED. A CUSTOM BILLET GRILL WAS ADDED. A LATE MODEL STEP-SIDE BED WAS ADDED WHICH REQUIRED A CUSTOM FRAME TO BE FABRICATED TO ACCOMMODATE THE NEW 6.5’ BED. EXTENSIVE MODIFICATION TO THE BED INCLUDING CHOPPING, CHANNELLING AND SECTIONING TO MAKE IT FIT THE EARLIER CAB.
THE FUEL DOOR WAS SHAVED AND THE GAS FILLER WAS MOVED BEHIND THE DRIVER SIDE TAIL LIGHT. THE REAR HAD A ROLL PAN ADDED AND A FABRICATED LICENSE PLATE BRAKET HIDES A RECEVER HATCH. A GAYLORD FIBERGLASS TONNEAU COVER WAS ADDED. REFLEX BEDLINER WAS SPRAYED ON THE BED. THE ENTIRE BODY RECEIVED A SPECTACULAR PAINT JOB WITH 2 STAGE PPG IN CORVETTE ARRIVAL BLUE.
THE POWER TRAIN CONSISTED OF AN LS-1 WITH PERFORMANCE AND STREET FUEL SYSTEM AND PERFORMANCE UPGRADE TO THE STOCK COMPUTER. A NEW GM 4L80E TRANSMISSION WITH CONSOLE SHIFTER WAS ADDED. A 10 BOLT POSI REAR END WITH A FINAL DRIVE RATIO OF 3:73 WAS USED. A NEW GM FACTORY WIRING HARNESS WITH HIDDED WIRING WAS USED TO GIVE A CLEAN LOOK. A CUSTOM 3 CORE ALUMINUM RADIATOR WITH ELECTRIC FANS DO THE COOLING. CUSTOM 2 ½ ALUMINUM PIPE EXHAUST SYSTEM UTILIZING FLOWMASTER MUFFLERS AND CHROME TIPS. AN ALUMINUM ROCK VALLEY TANK HOLDS THE FUEL. LOKAR STAINLESS THROTTLE CABLE AND FLOOR MOUNTED GAS PEDAL WAS UTILIZED.
THE UNDERCARRAGE AND SUSPENTION STARTED WITH A CUSTOM FRAME TO ACCOMMODATE THE ADDED 6.5’ BED. A CAMARO SUB-FRAME WAS UTILIZED WITH ALL NEW PERFORMANCE COMPONENTS TO INCLUDE A FLAMING RIVER POWER RACK AND PINION STEERING, NEW A FRAMES, NEW SUMMIT PERFORMANCE COIL FRONT SPRING ON DROPPED SPINDLES. A 1 1/8 INCH SWAY BAR UP FRONT AND MONO LEAF SPRINGS ARE USED IN THE REAR. THE BRAKES ARE POWER DISC AND REAR DRUM. THE FRONT BRAKES ARE POWER STOP ROTORS. A “NO LIMIT ENGINEERING” POWER BRAKE KIT AND STAINLESS STEEL LINES WERE USED IN THE BUILD. THE WHEELS ARE KMC CHROME, 18” FRONT WITH 235-502R18 PERFORMANCE TIRES AND 20” IN THE REAR WITH 295-45R20 TIRES.
THE INTERIOR WAS BASED ON CADILLAC POWER AND HEATED BUCKETS AND CONSOLE WITH SHIFTER. THE SEATS AND CUSTOM DOORS PANELS WERE DONE IN TAN LEATHER, CUSTOM HEADLINER, LEATHER DASH, POWER WINDOWS, POWER DOOR LOCKS AND POPPERS. AN ALPINE STERIO IS CONSOLE MOUNTED (NO TUNER), AM/FM/CD/MPI/DVD. AMP AND SPEAKERS BEHIND THE SEATS, MORE SPEAKERS UNDER DASH. THE SHAVED DASH CONTAINS A BILLET CLUSTER WITH AUTOMETER GAUGES.
THE BEAUTIFUL VEHICLE WAS ENGINEERED AND BUILT TO RIDE, HANDLE, AND PERFORM AS A NEW VEHICLE.
OVER $90,000.00 WAS SPENT ON THIS BUILD. IT IS A WORK OF ART.
