Description:
1973 Mercedes Benz 450 SL. Fun roadster! Body and paint appear very
nice. Has both the hard and soft tops. In 2011, the soft top was
professionally replaced at a cost of $1,941 and $4,255 worth of
mechanical work was completed included replacing the timing chain and
tensioner, new valve seals, new fan clutch, the rear brake rotors and
calipers were replaced, and the transmission was serviced. My daughter
drove the car the summer of 2011 and then it was put in storage for four
years while she was away at college. We're only selling it now because
she needs money for graduate school. A new battery was just installed.
The speedometer/odometer does not work right so the mileage is unknown.
Our mechanic indicates that this is typically due to stripped nylon
drive and is an easy fix
