Description:
1970 Chevrolet K10, 4WD pick up with less than 500 miles on a complete, frame up restoration to original condition. Original short box, stepside V8, automatic 4x4 truck with original drivetrain. Every piece of metal, plastic, rubber, all drive train and suspension components, every nut, bold and screw either replace, refurbished or rebuilt. The starting point was original sheet metal, original interior and original drive train.
The drive train was rebuilt to factory specs from the u-joints on up. The original 350 cubic inch, four bolt main motor and the turbo 350 transmission and the NP205 Transfer case plus the 12 bolt rear end with positraction and the Dana 44 front end with locking hubs have all been rebuilt to factor specs. The front and rear suspensions were completely rebuilt with new tie rod ends, shocks, springs, bushings, shackles, ball joints etc.
The all original cab, hood, fenders, doors, cow vent panel and rear fenders plus the frame were medial blasted to bare, rust free metal. New box sides and tailgate were US made. The entire interior of the cab was covered in Dynamat sound deadening material before installation of new carpet. All new seals, weather stripping, door internals, door glass, windshield and back glass were installed. A complete new wiring harness was installed as well as an OEM look alike Retrosound radio with both USB and Bluetooth capabilities.
All exterior trim including bumpers, headligh assemblies, grill, logos, door handles and locks etc. were replaced with largely new aftermarket parts with some NOS and original parts utilized where available and of good quality. The bed is new oak wood and the strips are stainless steel. The front seat is original to this truck and has been rebuilt and reupholstered.
