Description:
This is a real 1964 Chevrolet Impala SS 2 dr Hardtop with a real 409 425HP dual 4 barrel 4 speed mounted between the rails.
The block was decked while at the machine and removed the frt block numbers so there is no verification that this is the actual engine for this car.
The story has traveled with the previous owners dating back as far as 1972 that it is correct, however there is no paperwork to prove beyond that, therefore I am listing it as a NOM
This is a rust free California car that was done as a frame off restoration painting it in the original red and replacing the interior with the original red and white reproduced by Ciadella’s.
It has been upgraded to disc brakes in the front along with dropped front spindles.
The engine has been completely gone through along with the heads that have been upgraded to accept modern fuels. The intake and exhaust manifolds are correct and the carbs have been upgraded to a modern version of the originals including an electric choke. It has a new clutch and a 4 speed that shifts as smooth as silk.
This car runs as good as it looks.
