Description:
1968 Mustang California Special.
A fascinating example of a rare and very desirable California Special Mustang. This Brittany Blue Mustang has undergone a show quality ground-up restoration with outstanding attention to details. In mid-February 1968, the California Ford dealers (Ford dealer advertising group) began to market a factory built limited production Mustang known as the "California Special" or GT/CS. Production ran for only 5 1/2 months, from mid February to early August, making the California Special a very collectible car. Shelby Automotive was assigned the task of designing and engineering the necessary parts and assembly procedures to create this Pony car. This Mustang is fully documented by a deluxe Marti Report and still retains its original owners manuals and warranty card! This rare Mustang is equipped with the following options:
Vinyl roof, California Special package (Lucas fog lights, Shelby designed hood pins, side air scoops, pop open gas filler, rear spoiler, 1965 Thunderbird taillights and special GT/CS stripe package), C4 Automatic transmission, Electric clock, Power steering, AM radio, Remote LH mirror, Shelby styled wheels.
