This very special issue Lotus Elise is the 35th Anniversary automobile commemorating the Lotus’ Formula 1 championship race car, called the 72D, driven by the legendary Emerson Fittipaldi who proved to be unstoppable by winning five of eleven races in 1972, and becoming the youngest champion in Formula 1 history. This limited edition Lotus Elise features exclusive equipment including gold accents and pin striping throughout the exterior of the vehicle, two-toned leather and alcantara interior, gold cast wheels, type 72D rear spoiler, gold and black laurels and badging, among numerous others. Configuration also includes Lotus Touring Pack, Sport Pack, Metallic Paint, Starshield and type 72D pack as well as an exclusive release Lotus racing helmet, still in the display case. This car has only four miles, and has never been driven on a public road. It was part of an extraordinary collection of the most desired classic, luxury and exotic vehicles which were all garage kept and maintained routinely by a private in house mechanic. The release of the Lotus 72D was limited to only 50 vehicles worldwide, including just 20 available in the U.S.A. and is rarely found for resale opportunity.
